I sat here feeling like a queen hanging loose against the second cushion step in a private cabana of mine during a sweltering summer day… a fan above me whirled my thick hair in the direction towards the main pool, sun kissed women stripped themselves topless; while I was relaxing eyes halfway open behind my dark shades. I swear all I was missing were topless men feeding me grapes. But even with the exception of that, being at Bare was pure bliss.
Light group continuously holds their impressive knack for designing spaces with incredible features in each property. Besides the outstretched layout of 2 pools directly opposing one another and flanked with lounges, impeccable VIP service and stunning guests, I would say the most stand out features are the luxury cabanas tiered in three comfy steps each with a refrigerator included. (Oh, and for the men I’m sure you wouldn’t mind the ladies baring it all!) Bare Pool provides ample space for lounging, tanning and nibbling appetizing dishes while finding privacy from the ascending palm trees of the Mirage resort. It’s never too packed either, overcrowdedness can be annoying.
Bare pool is one of the few that promotes the young and exposed, a bold move from the norm. Pamper yourself European style while sitting with one of their premixed cocktails from a pitcher such as a Mojito, Sangria or Bloody Mary. They are the best! When it’s time to cool off leave your refreshment in the mini refrigerator and nosedive into the delightful oasis…

One of my favorite pool delights… spiked watermelon. Bare carries the best.
I was introduced to this game a while ago from a funny guy friend of mine, and thought it would be a nice game to play again. And since I’m always in and out of casinos anyway in my daily life I personally like to play it in my head every now and then. They come out at night usually. So let’s see if you can get it right for shits n’ giggles!… Find the answers on this site: http://americangirlsareeasy.com/game/
The Wynn’s Parasol Up – Parasol Down Lounge makes for a great meeting spot if your already in the property. It’s spacious enough to accommodate a large group of guests and in close proximity to the hottest top tier venue, XS nightclub. I always find myself in awe walking through Wynn, the designs and decor is always immaculate not to mention this elegant venue has a spectacular view of the “Lake of Dreams” which has a stunning waterfall and a beautiful man-made oasis just outside the lounge. Parasol Up is settled a few steps from the casino floor and Parasol Down is just below it from the escalator on the level of the majestic oasis. Both bars offer a large selection of vegan specialty drinks and sake infused cocktails. On top of being at one of the nation’s top destinations, the bar has a great ambiance of bright reds, purples and yellows gushing from the casino floor and flashy spinning parasols dangling from the ceiling. Around the corner from Parasol is Tryst nightclub, which makes being at the bar and lounge the perfect quick stop before an exhilarating night of music and dance.
My Lakeside View below from the balcony just outside… It’s a wonderful spectacle!…
I remember my first taste in the artsy downtown Las Vegas area was at the Beauty Bar. It was one of my first Halloween party nights and I was dressed as a bumble bee. It was fun but we eventually made our way outside at the back of the bar since inside was so packed and stuffy, and because the fresh air seemed nice and the facade had fun graffiti to look at anyway. It definitely attracts people from all walks of life and everyone seemed free and unpretentious. That’s the great thing about the artsy world, you learn not to care. I feel Vegas has embraced that essence especially with the new venues popping up. I feel this bar is what started it all.
The Beauty Bar has been a one of a kind joint in Las Vegas since 2004 and is located on east Fremont Street across from Insert Coins. The 2,100 sq. ft. retro beauty salon-themed bar is outfitted with 50’s style décor and salon equipment from the Capri Salon of Beauty in Trenton, NJ., as well as lighting from the imploded Art Deco designed Algiers Hotel. Instead of being the typical masculine sports bar filled with overflowing beer and rowdy patrons, Beauty Bar offers a kitschy artsy type environment that is classy and fun. The gaming free hotspot provides manicure “demonstrations” and a stage indoors as well as the outside patio for up and coming artists and garage bands. Don’t miss the events posted almost every night of the week and make sure you support your local artists!
This place makes a nice stop for after work cocktails. It’s a beautiful bar to be at anyway, right at the west lobby near the valet and in sight of the huge columns displaying customized digital experiences developed by the Rockwell Group.
The Vesper Bar, located inside the Cosmopolitan Resort, is a modest and extravagant oasis away from the boisterous casino floor. Its shimmery ambiance attracts even the most discerning onlookers and entices them into a journey of crafted signature cocktails from their exceptional mixologist who possess fine skills and passion in concocting classic recipes that’ll take you back to an era of style and grace.
The drink menu begins with “The Vesper,” a cocktail named after one of James Bond’s short lived paramour. Other than offering the perfect drinks from an extensive menu of long-forgotten recipes or even creating a custom cocktail, the space is inspired by 1950’s past entwined with an upscale contemporary environment suited for sophisticated and glamorous patrons.
